Been a while ...
« on: October 21, 2026, 10:03:44 AM »
Hello boys ... my last post was 2018. Can you believe that. Since then I have not done any jigging and popping UNTIL now.

I'm based in Indonesia (Bali) now. I know ... shitty life  :win: . Been taking my job far too seriously but, things are about to change.

We are heading off to Lombok this weekend. Only two days, but tides look good. Been AJs and Doggies around. Also GTs, but not massive from what I can see. If you guys are on Instagram go check out "Lombok Fishing Trips"

Stay tuned. Hoping to become active again and will post some stories and pics

On a separate side note. My Stellas reel feet are in a bad shape from corrosion. Dammit, seriously grumpy about that. Will post pics in reel tech forum. Hopefully I can get some guidance

Take care

Thanks Reefs ... weather played foul though. Not much to report back on

My mate landed on AJ on a jig. Couple of bust offs on jig and one GT bust off on popper

Fishing in this Ocean as very different to Tanzania. Currents here are strong because of all the Islands so makes reading the jig drop harder. In TZ we jigged smaller compact 200 gram jigs. Here you need the long slender pencil shapes. IMHO

The top water casting is manageable and the backdrop to where you casting is eye watering scenery. Water is working nicely. Current is perfect for big GT bruisers.

Lombok Fishing Trips are decent. Will go back for sure
