Anyone fishing Umdoni point the last week of April this year?
« on: January 16, 2025, 09:04:15 AM »
Hi guys! Anyone fishing at umdoni or Pennington end of April or first week in May this year? I'm planning a fishing holiday this year.

Also anyone know what can be caught at umdoni and Pennington at that time of year?

I've been watching some locals on YouTube and it seems I've been fishing wrong all my life🤣🤣🤣 so with my new knowledge I'm planning on finally catching some good sized fish this time as I've only caught small fish in the past.

My biggest catch was a freshwater catfish at ±2kg and second was a spiny dogfish at just under 2kg

I can say that you have deep water, so baitfishing & spinning for snoek will produce.

Am also eager to hear what is caught at the point, & a word of caution now recently is to be "wide & open eyed when fishing there alone or 2.

Umdoni point is a "walk thru" for locals from Sezela to Pennington......."rockhoppers"
