That is some serious camping there! More than the kitchen sink  - how big is the convoy to carry all that stuff!

We are normally 2 or 3 boats. We have a group that come for the first week and they help tow everything and help set up camp. full day job.
Then every week a different "team" arrives and fishes for that week. Last week we break up again.

Ja Carlos...those were a couple of years ago when we still had Olympic..our legend boat. you can see on the freezer etc. Now she sit at the back of the ski-boater magazine for sale :-)

I asked them to remove the name but they bloody didn't.

Anyway, when my ship comes in we will have another "Olympic", she will be resurrected :-)

For now "Blackie" will have to do and I will never sell her, she is a  lovely little boat.

I would suggest that you change their colour - no African monkey would believe that those are snakes!

That is correct - I have seen Monkeys even grab at un-natural looking plastic snakes as they knew they were fake.

You got to watch those guys! Many years ago, I was with my wife and her mother at Cape Point. My mom-in law (an artist) was painting and my wife (a writer) was sitting on a rock reading (final edit befeore going to the typesetters) the final manuscript of a book she was writing at the time. I was about 150 meters away taking photographs. Now, in those days there were no computers, and the manuscript was real "cut and paste" - lots of typewritten pages and handwritten notes pasted together (18 months of work), a huge raggedly pile of papers (and no back up copy).

Suddenly a very large baboon ran up to her and tried to grab the manuscript from her hands - a tug of war ensued with my wife screaming obscenities at the baboon  - both her and the baboon refused to let go of the manuscript. I must let you know that my wife even scared of birds, so I was really impresed when she bravely battled that baboon - she was not letting the manuscript out of her hands, even if it was a lion on the other side. Eventually, she gave the baboon a sideways kick and it let go ansd scampered off down the path.

By the time I got to where my wife was, the battle was over - and my wife was still screaming at the baboon (stuff I have never heard her say since!). I think that that baboon still has burning ears

My assumption was that the baboon thought she had a paper bag full of edible goodies in her hands.

I dont think that the little monkeys of Vidal are as bad as those baboons!

best way to aviod monkeys at vidal is

step 1- as soon as mussel craker turns his back make a grab for his salt and vinger crisps you need to be sharp cause he luvs his salt and vinger crisps

step 2 -hide the above mentioned crisps under neighbors ground sheet  leave  a               trail of crisps so the monkeys find them

step 3-sit back open beer and injoy the show as MC runs around trying to get his crisps back keeping the monkeys busy and thus out your tent
