Natal Stumpnose - Rhabdosargus sarba
Also known as Tropical Stumpnose

Indo-west Pacific. Up to Easten Cape, as far south as Wilderness in Summer.

Coastal waters - adults on reefs to 60m. Juveniles common in estuaries.
Schooling species.
Feeds on hard-shelled molluscs, mussels, oysters, clams, sea urchins, sand dollars, crabs, barnacles and Sea lice.
Readily takes Red Prawn bait, chokka, sea lice, red bait, white mussel.
Matures at 20cm - most begin their lives as males and when they are 2-3 years old, 30cm, they change to females.
Spawn from August to November at night.
Juveniles remain in estuaries until mature.

Sorry to bother anyone that this might annoy. This is my first time posting on this forum. I really want to catch a stumpie, any tips and tricks ? Like trace length and things.
