Hi,guys,I'm glad that you enjoyed this.@ Charles,it's a pity you can't see the pics, because threads are always better when one can actually see what/where/how,but at least you can see it when back home again.
I didn't realise how long it would take and how much work this type of thing would be,from searching google earth for pics and marking them,to typing and organising, then edit, resize and modify(in my case). It was satisfying to see the final product and to know that people will get enjoyment out of it. w;k
@ Spieks, yes Glentana has many nice spots, look up the place on Google earth, you'll see all the sandbanks and gulleys, the water is also quite strong there, similar to Danabay.Look up Bothastrand,Reebok and Grootbrak too, beautifull coastline with many options...Happy :fshn:

There are many little gems one can still discover over and above the spots I mentioned here, the rest of the thread is coming,Gouritz coast... :hnthnt:
I probably don't have to remind :ult: s' members, but guys please keep our coastline clean, even if it's not your own rubbish,if you can manage to carry it to a bin it will help tremendously... :clwn

@Marthin,i like the way you think... :hehe: our crackers are brutal brawlers...not to be messed with, you might end up going home with your tail between your legs... w;k

Marthin dunno what you are talking about....I grew up in that area and those fish have never come close to breaking any of my reels. And I only use  :dwa: .
Lofty once again great post. You have covered most of the fishable areas in your post. Nice thing about the areas at Gouritz, Kanon, Boggoms, Vleesbaai and Danabay is it is safe to fish alone at night. The one place I would not fish alone at night is The Pipe at Hartenbos. Lots of "messtekers" there in the bush. Hartenbos, Kleinbrak and Grootbrak is safe generally......but keep an eye on the guys walking on the beach. There have been incidents at these places in the past

Should have slid him for live bait, plenty of nunus there at Diaz Corner. Luckily you got out of the situation unharmed. It could have been much worse.....

O.k.,there are a few places along our coast where you can relax, fish, swim and have a braai all at the same place..one of those is the Pine lake marina at Sedgefield where you can fish in the Swartvlei lagoon for grunter, kob and leeries from the comfort of a well kept lawn with braai's,swimmingpool etc. look here http://www.pinelakemarina.co.za/fishing.aspx and here http://www.riverside-resort.co.za/ or for some birding, canoeing etc.perhaps try Ebb and flow Wilderness.Besides lagoon fishing there are some great beaches like at Wilderness to fish from...

right, let me see... :hnthnt: Leentjiesklip-Kleinkranz-target species are:Kob-(Livebait from the Keimansriver or Wilderness lagoon),chokka, pilchard, pink prawn-Shad(Elf)-fleshy baits and Steenbras-mud/pinkprawn/chokka/bloodworm.White musselcracker closer to Rooibankies, where you'll get more rocks, scattered reef/sandy bottom, red crab,red-bait and sand crab(watch out for those sharp pinchers  :hehe: )this is a lovely stretch of beach with a lot of good structure, sandbanks and gulleys..the coast from Haroldsbay,Vicbay to Keimans is/can be very dangerous so I would not suggest taking your boy there, very rocky and deep water...
