Thanks guys for all the compliments .

The galjoen on die plaat are there , you look for. The same places were you would find your steenbrasse , bellman and kolsterte, there are some very big galjoen that can mes out certain times of the year on the sand .

Guys here's so much fish around .

I found a small dried pipefish, in prestine condition.
Will post some pics . Here's plenty of them , and I reckon , what we think , was glassies . Is in fact , pipefish .

Pesky pesky raggies are fulll up .
We looked for area to fish today , could not manage any mullet .
Kobus , got two fish earlier the week 9/ and 13 kg .

Lokkies got a couple fish . Johan landed a proper proper kob in the region of 20 plus kgs .

Some baardman and steenbrasse are also , showing . Some came out the past week .

The next week looks like full on fishing conditions . It just seem to have some red tide of some crap in the water.

Temp also drop Thursday from in the high teens , to 10 degrees ....

Thanks for the update Bud. The water temp here also dropped quite a bit and the fog bank has covered the Heads the whole week.

Got some serious Steenbrasse , between myself , Rikus and Marius , to buzy fishing to update .

My phone also down , so I have zero pics , but we got a couple of reallly nice steenbrasse and Marius got a very nice baardman of close to 6 kg .

Loads of questions always about , throwing live bait and rigging them .

Here a pic , I remembered to take .

We use a needle , from back to front for sliding , from front to back when casting .

You pull the hook snoot with aid of the needle , just under the skin , you should cover about 2 thirds of the BODY of the mullet .
You now , can use any hook from 3/0 to 8/0 depending on what you prefer . Tie on your hooksnoot that has a mullet on , you then carefully Hook the hook , protruding from behind its head . You gently , pull the remaining hooksnoot , AND the shank of your hook back into under the skin , a hook with a big eye , will not work as well as one with a longer shaft and small eye .

You can now clip your livebait , and let it fly , if it's done correctly , you will not throw this mullet off ,
You don't need a second hook , the second hook often causes problems . My preference of hook are 6/0 Kendal .

Myself Kegan and Tyler , made a four day fishathon . It was tough very toUgh .
Pretty damn cold too.

Kegan landed this pb white steenbras on a blooodworm and a circle 97 cm fork lenth converts to 14 od . But that's rubbish . Maybe 10 we to K a few snaps and released here .

Some very good white steenbras was caught this weekend , and last week they went on a proper bite .

I know a party of three that got three fish on Saturday , released all three , saw the pics , in the trio was all in the region on 10 plus kgs .

Since early morn we have had , some strong wind and big swell , should have a current too down on die plaat .

Some good galjoen around the rocks .

We have been saying nothing , because the guys have been getting some serious crackers , and lots of them largest one I have heard of just over 10 kg , with uncle Marius and Johan , getting a number of fish between just size to 9 kg . It was ON for 2 weeks until the condsions .

Uncle Marius landed a monster galjoen some say over 5 kg , I believe as I have seen the fish most prob 4 going to 4.2 kg .

Wind turned , some very nice patches of colour around .

Fishin it's very good .
Kobs , galjoen everywhere .

Some guys have been getting up to 10 galjoen per session , releasing them .

Live mullet only available at night or before sun rise , hard hard work .

No abundance of red bait either .
