I have been fishing for 34 of my 35 years on earth and that is double the size of the biggest kob I have seen prior to that night.

It felt like we were handling a dinosaur with battle scars - I reckon I would have been clinically depressed if that fish died!

Kob and loads of them , everywhere . Even on the south westerly and southerly winds in clear water ..

There are a few , they should go on the bite with the approaching full moon , but at night .

Some bus fish around , trail , landed a 27 kg fish . ( on his cape ski rod and old 49)

They not abundant , and the past couple of days, have not been sea days .

Good day gents. I am looking forward to my first visit to Struisbaai end May/beginning June. Going to bring the family. They can chill whilst I will be hunting

non stop.

I hope I will be more succesfull there than I was last season at Franskraal/Uilenkraal.

we got some good fish and I got myself a pb leervis , and released the beast too . Stoked !
It was a very good day , I got another couple of good kob, biggest being , 11 kgs.

Then got a nice kob . The lil fella pulled me flatttt. About a 5 kg fish , we took this on for the bag. .

Then I got this number . Good fish , about 9/ 10 kgs . Also released .

Tackle . .45 tline main line . .70 mm t line leader . 0/5 gamagatsu circle . 6 ons wire grab. Running trace with a bead .

The leervis was hard to revive , but eventually swam off .
