no fishing , nada niks .

poor weather and Gale Westeries has been hammering us . the ocean has not had proper Winter swell , and even red bait is no where to be found .
The swell has jacked up and the sea is biiiiig today , I assume some nice places will open uo again , and the Brasse fishing will then commence ....

Saw some local guys fishing at Hawston/ Hermanus plaat and they have a couple of very very big Steenbrasse most of which was over 10 kg . Gave me proper fever , but its the worm making....

I will wait out the storm and do a recce . try to get some Galjoen .

Not much happening , Its so dam cold , I am just not keen on hitting a Session early morning . I am still bait less ext .

There WILL be Steenbrasse around and there will be GAljoen around . The cold has hit us hard , I left before sunrise this morning and it was Minus 4 at certain areas , but averaging just below Zero . until past 9 this morn . Ok Pieta , Its unusual for us here  LOL

Think after this cold we will have some time to fish . Still waiting for Betty01 and 'n anded paar manne' to pull up for a BIG STEENBRAS HUNT . not talking 6 /7 kg fish , Talking about Double digits ....#maakklada

Our normal winter has arived as well. -7 this morning. Taps frozen solid this morning. The steenis like the colder water and bigger swell. Hope you get a chance to get out there and post a pick or two.

Lofty I think the closest bloodwoum for you is witsand. Get them on low tide on the bank on the opposite side from the hotel closer to the mouth.  Just speek to the guys working at the boat rental at the hotel.

All the tidal rivers in the Southern Cape should have Bloodworm, you just need to know what to look for.

We can get worm here , With the wire on a very low tide . or drive to Buffels jags , if we are a couple of guys , its worth it going to BJags .

Dad and Myself , had a nice short session yesterday , fish are super skelm .

It seemed like there was lots of life in the water , and we missed 4 fish . We got bites from the first cast . Its icey icey cold next to the water . '
My dad seems keen to hit that spot again couple of times . Me too .
