soooooo .

The conditions was perfect over the weekend , with lots of fish Caught , Belmanne / Steenbrasse and Galjoen .

The Galjoen nice sized fish was caught on die plaat .

We made a mission to die WALLE , near perfect conditions , but I watched TV , lots of undersized Steenbrass was set free again , I have a few pics that I will post later , the mission en route to die Walle .

There was a bout 12 guys fishing that side , everybody got pulls , and it was not the pesky Kolsterte and Wildeperd . I had to be rude to two guys that wanted to bag undersized fish , I took a firm stance and told them they will be in a world of trouble and I will take the the #$^% out . I then took on of the Steenbrasse and grew it back in the water , they were less than impressed ...

One thing we picked up , when the tide swings , on the drop , the fish come on the bite like MAD .
I still have some alive prawn and are going for a session later , look for a Belman of wildeperd PB .

Thanks for the report sir.  It is a nice read sitting in the office between all that I have to do!  I must say, I am getting more and more keen to do a trip there!  Have never been to Struisbaai and would love to give it a go some time!  What time of the year do you suggest?

Mainly Summer , basicly from Late September to may , with Feb being the best for grunters and Elf . and beginning of November the big job are around and then again in March , but good sized fish are caught from Late august to May .

Crakers from November to Jan .
In eds , Raggies ,daimonds ect also during summer . Gulley sharks we get year round .

Easter weekend are generally good too , strange over the years , they fish starts to bite when the Holiday makers leave , from middle January . this year the catches was not bad , but the weather was GREAT , out to sea too , there was days were there was lots of Tail ect .
But low and behold , 18 Jan came the caravan park empty , loads of cars leaving town .

Then from the 20 th to late March the fish went absolute bossies for weeks on end , both at the back from boats , and from the shore , then those first couple of public holidays came and DEAD again , the next Tuesday same story ...

Realisticly , you'll need about 10 days, out of those 10 days , realistically , you ill have 3 PREMIUM fishing days , you light loose a day or three to wind [ the wind is born here ]

Winter are a good time to fish too , because its quit , and not a lot of guys make missions to get out , get bait and go tight . I have adapted and we fish come rain come shine , howling Westerlies are the enemy but also bring the GIANT white Steenbrasse on the bite ,  Galjoen and Kolstert  you also get during winter . in eds ,yo uget you Cows and some SPearnose skates .

in short , come in the Summer .
