That reel looks awesome JF ready for combat? They can say of okuma what they want I just got myself 2 trio 40 for spooning for tigers and 1 40 BF for live bait unrivaled stopping power and smooth with the dual dragg system. I still have some of my okuma bass combo rod and reels left from many moons ago all plastic but still working.

Been away for a few days in Botswana and these were delivered in my absence and my good lady took them in, not a word or a question about them, she really is a star I really have married a star

Reels have been spooled and lugs fitted. All sorted!

Okuma really stepped up and is now producing top quality gear. Got these at a steal so I'm pretty happy.

Marcos, did you get 30's? How would you rate them against the Tyrnos 30's?

Yes. I got the 30 2 speed special edition. I have the 50w 2-speed and needed the 30s to complete my mid range collection. Which at the moment is composed of 3 x Ti30 and these 2x Makaira 30.

I've very limited experience with the Tyrnos, but have been using the Ti30 for a long time. I'd say the Makaira is on par with the Tiagra (with stronger drag and at a much better price!). It certainly feels more solid and stronger than the tyrnos.

I got mine at R3,250 each! Can't beat that!

I'm gobsmacked at the quality of my 2 Cedros 10 LD reels... craftsmanship is fantastic, solid feel... and one has been tested and found to be smooth as a baby's bum. Both came in at under R2k a piece.

I've got 2x Cedros 20s and 1 x makaira 502speed all are awesome reels , sturdy well made.. Lekker reels those Marcos. I prefer my Cedros too my Tyrnos 30 2 speeds, would have liked the 2 speed option on my Cedros thou!

theyare Shimao rods and only have a top roller the code is TLD STP 10A. I'm pairing them with a 2 speed TLD 20 and 30

Have been using it for 3 months now...works great!! I now only experience 2 relapses per month!
