rods

Are those purglass?? I also have a bunch, very nice rods for couta. But I'm looking for something a bit shorter and more sturdy for medium class trolling.
I get I'm just gonna go an buy those cheaper Penn Tunasticks today.

BTW, for anybody interested. Those TLD 15's took exactly 600m 15kg Berkley Big Game. So a 1200m spool was split right in half..what a bargain

i think it was a typo. the 25's take 600m of 30lb, but doesnt leave much room for a wind on.

I am not so sure that it was a typo mate. Jean seems to like his light tackle!!

25's boet. my tld 10 and my tld 15's are all sorted. These are 3 X TLD 25's, I want to use to troll larger rapalas and some medium sized konas.

I do like it light, these TLS 25's are a step up for me. I usually fish 4kg and 6 kg for couta and sailfish. Jeez I mean I do not fish for the pot, I fish for fun. THe fun is in the fight and in the challenge. I like giving my adversary a decent chance :-)

That's just me

Some feedback on those rods? They seem solid enough?

Jaen, have you been to Bouwer Broers in Gezina(PTA)? I bought a Penn Tuna stick (the one with the front roller guide) for a buddy's birthday there end of last year for R390! I also have a couple of them and imo they are great for medium trolling. I also have TLD 25's on mine

I'm going past there on friday so give me a shout if I must have a look for you if you havnt come right yet ...

Hi Jaen, I went pass Bouwer Broers today but the Tuna sticks are outa stock. They only have Tica Team deepsea rods for between R440-R860, and one Daiwa Deepsea SealineX(nogal nice with front roller guide) for R620, but no matching pairs.

So Sorry Boet, jy sal maar nog bietjie moet soek....hoop jy kom reg.

LOL, I went yesterday and bought 3 X sensation Offshore stick with discount for R250 each. looked oraait in the shop.....went home yesterday...put on the TLD25 and with only 3kg drag the line touches the rod between the rod guides....took them back today :-)

Decided I'm gonna keep my trevala heavies...they are still better than anything I have come across.
