Knysna

Ok, so tomorrow it will start over again. We will hit the lagoon from tomorrow afternoon. I will post pics and report as and when it happens. Just figured, I should get the thread started so that it becomes easier to post. Watch this space, Connor is rearing to go and I am certain we will catch. And yes, they all go back in the water boys!

SAFISH, any chance that you might be in the area, we could use your hawk-eyes!

Hermann, my dog fell ill so we returned home. He is, and always will be a priority. We will go back soon enough.

The water was very quiet and not much to report for the days that we were there. Not enough time to get a handle on what was where. Even the mullets in the evening were quiet. Very odd.

Sorry to hear about your dog, how is he doing now? The lagoon is not healthy. When last did you see a Striped Mullet jump?

My boy is getting better (thanks for asking).

One evening we saw a few mullet, nothing like normal. Watched some guys throwing a throw net at night, in the morning and evening and they got zero. I never found the water in a much poorer shape than it normally is in. The Ashmead is full of the cabbage leaf from the sewerage as usual). The main channel all the way up to the red bridge looked ok. Very little movement on the surface, very few fish around. We never really had much of a chance though. We had one chance when the pressure made a steep move, but again, very little action.
