Flashy plugs!
« on: March 27, 2012, 03:23:36 PM »
No my dodgey east rand electrical connections haven't blown me up! I was just wondering why we never see bright silver chisel nose plugs around? Surely the flash from a silver plug would mimic a darting bait fish well? Especially compared to the bright pink and lumo green plugs I have seen?

Good question, Brad, but I think the water disturbance caused by a plug is what attract the fish more than the colour of the plug.
The fact that manufacturers add "eyes" to the plugs (or fancy colours) is probably more to impress the buyer.  :dunno:
Chisel nose plugs are normall made from nylon which take "abuse" from teeth marks very well.

if you really want the flash - then stick those lure stickers on, the white ones work anyway - so why bother?
