Spider Boats - How do they handle the rough water?

I just sold my Ark Fishduck and Fishalot and bought a Spider 3 with a 10hp 2 stroke Mariner (Marathon)


The Ark Fishduck with a 8hp was the best and could take 3m waves full on without any sweat. Was a pleasure to beach launch. The 4.2m Fishalot was more of a water worm. too long and doesn't plane that well.


How would the cathedral hulll, 3m Spider perform in choppy water and in the wake of other boats?


Advantage of this hull is a shallower draught and less roll and more stability.


I am going to either Langebaan Lagoon or Hangklip this weekend for the 1st time with the Spider. (Asked Parkeraad if I need a permit, but they are not sure, waiting for their call...)


I bought this boat, because I don't need the skippers & COF (<3m & 15hp and smaller doesn't need cof, skippers)

Not do sure I'd venture to sea in a boat less than 3 m or in a 3 m waves either. The sea can get quite testy in that area and then things go t.ts up it normally happens in the  blink of an eye.
Living in S Cape nowadays I have noticed a lot of smaller craft happily at sea with small motors operating offshore.
Suppose you just need to pick your days........

Cathedral hulls are dreadful in choppy water period. I have a Bandit which is way larger than the spider and I wouldn't dream of putting her anywhere near the ocean. I love my Bandit, she's a super stable and convenient dam fishing platform. But she has limitations in terms of weather.
