Are you trying to throw popping lures to 50kg kingfish in heavy structure?
If you absolutely have to have the strongest of the strongest, then by al means go for the braid stitch.
I have done it one and it it is a very tedious knot to make.
That is why a lot of anglers use the FG knot. The FG might not be as strong as the stitch, but it is still an incredibly strong knot.
Also have you tried to stick a needle through 30lb braid?
Draw a line with your pen on a paper................that line is 0.7mm and is probably 3 times thicker than the braid you are trying to stitch
now imagine trying to stick n needle through the centre of it multiple times (the fingernail trick does work in making it slightly wider)
