Don't know the area but katonkel aka sarda sarda should be thick at times close to the rocks, there have been more this year than I have ever seen..A 1.5oz seal point tin abu spoon is the #1 spoon for them, with an oval split ring and a 4/0 mustad kaiju inline hook and 0.9mm swannel clip is the setup you want on the terminal end, 0.6mm mono leader be fine.. They were up the coast in great numbers, there were days where every cast produced a fish and bronzies chasing them in the rockpools while they were chasing anchovies..chaos..More washing down with the current and those fish are long past mossel bay but more all the time arriving. Little leerie plugs should also get some interest on the points and at rips on beaches..The same above abu or a 1.5oz seal point tin keel spoon will get attention from any elf around in the foamy gulleys too who are around also in good numbers up and down the coast..Look for birds, look for patches of bait and target those that are washing out, soon enough you will find some with fish on it.

Light spinning from the side has been quite/very good this summer all along the southern coast, almost too good hahah the rocks have been getting crowded! Some very good leerie days if you were lucky to be there when shoals were coming past, bonnies from the side have been WILD, good elf, cob on spoon..I even caught a skipjack and a sole this summer on spoon! Mate got a tuna..

Let us know how goes..
