Terminal tackle quality!!

Recently I posted a pic of the crap hooks they use on Williamson lures..........rusted in one day!!!
Here is a Williamson bird that was bought a year ago, used a dozen or so times, washed in fresh water after use................the clip disintegrated when I changed a lure the other day!!!  
Imagine pulling for hours and a fish hits that lure!!
Be very careful with what you buy - a lot of this stuff is made in China and it is CRAP!! Rather retrofit with decent clips/hooks etc.....

Can't understand why manufacturers can't just complete their products properly. We shouldn't have to retrofit lures! Halco are just as bad - very poor quality split rings and hooks.
It's also another reason why I enjoy the iFish/CID products like their Iron Candy's and GT Ice creams - proper trustworthy terminals!

I got the Pulsator ones and they seem good quality and haven't rusted, but must have a look see just in case.

Do you guys think that local lure guys are cutting costs by , using inferior terminals ?

I find the quality of terminal tackle, lures and rigs made by Williamson to be very poor but I do like their Ballywhoo replicas. Why cant guys just go the extra bit and finish off the product?

Williamson is not local but everything is made in China these days and in my case the hooks and the snap clip are not quality that's for sure, we have clips on marlin rigs that last 5 years!! Exchange rates do play a role but its just the bottom line they look at - greed!!

Some years back, an Amber turned my Williamson jig hook turn into a toothpick... From then on, I looked very critically at all their stuff and in most cases, found them inferior. Nowdays, whatever I buy, I re-terminal with known quality. The box of dodgy hooks, split rings, swivels etc. is growing.
