My only concern with the Kaibitsu is that its a pretty stiff stick from memory... makes for a good GT weapon, where you are needing to generally throw bigger lures, and stop fish quickly and turn them, and generally fight them away from the boat, rather than straight down...
Tuna typically as I'm sure you know is more of a up and down fight, where a softer/more parabolic rod is a vastly more favourable... you are not looking to stop a fish dead in its tracks when targeting tuna, you typically need to let them run a little, and settle into your fight, and have a a rod that helps you in an up and down scenario in which stiff rods are not your friend...
Tuna in the 20 to 35 kilo class would typically be a PE 5 set up, and a 6000/8000 or 1000 size reel set up, fishing 40lb to 60lb braid... so perhaps there are a few more options out there that would suit you.... Not sure on the price of Daiwa Monster Mesh rods these days, but these are a superb option...
Not taking away from the Kaibitsu, its a superb rod, but not the ideal weapon you are wanting it for in my opinion... but hey, thats just my opinion... the Kaibitsu would certainly double as a great GT stick if you heading to warmer waters anytime soon...
