I took my 11ft Exage rod with the Trini 16 and Torium 30 with the Saudi with the idea to play with live bait and baloons when the wind is correct to do so.


I got the itch during the week to cast the Trini a bit as I have last fished with the reel in 2009 in Angola while jigging for Amber Jack.


Yesterday morning the wind was coming in from the east right into my face making it difficult to launch bulky lures.


So a 3oz GTI gets loaded and launched and it sails a lot futher than what any of the spinnjng rods could let it go,


With the Trini's 6:2:1 gear ratio its not an issue to keep the plug running on the surface...


And it was not a long time and there was a swirl behind the plug... :happ:
