@Reefs, thanks, I did not take all the pics, the pics were taken by myself, Bryan and Mike.
If we caught fish on every trip, it would be called " Catching". We don't, and that's why it's called "Fishing".

Herman that's an awesome report!! And some brilliant photos! That last small mouth was a bomber!

Do you have any picks of the ant pattern? Lastly is there anything significantly different fishing from the boat as opposed to the bank? Can you see the fish easily still?

It was caught on one of these on a size 18.

Its a very easy tie, black foam body split into three, black hackle between the bum and the abdomen and then two CDC wings in white on either side of the section between the abdomen and the head.

Fishing from a boat with a trolling motor is for me the way to go. You see the fish as easily, depending on sun angle, but the beauty of it is you can fish the bank from 15 meters out as well as those BIG boys sipping away  20meters out on the other side of the boat, i.e. about 35 - 40 meters from the bank.

The biggest advantage  for me was being able to troll up 200 meters of bank looking for fish and the rises in 1 tenth of the time that it would take you to walk there.  w;k
