We had a strong north westerly blowing for a couple of day the past week.
I kept a close watch as we drew closer to Friday morning and luckily the wind started to drop down a bit on Thursday afternoon.
Friday morning found me on the rocks at 5:00 with the horizon starting to show a light yellow.
Compared to last week the sea was "dead" no bird activity or bait fish getting smashed.
Probably due to the wind of the last couple of days the bait fished moved out of the bay for a bit.
This means I am hunting the solitary queens patrolling the ledges.
The 10ft Adrenalin rod with the 6000 Sustain and a 2oz Ice Cream got picked 1st.
Got a hit after about 20 min but she did not connect.
Next cast got another chase and this time it was FISH ON!

She gave me a good reff and a lovely fight.
Good start for the morning with a 90cm or 20 lbs queen to kick off the day.

Loading the rod to launch the Ice Cream

Later had a baby queen getting stuck on a stick bait.

And then a slimy barra also on the stick bait.
Went back for the late afternoon session and played with the light set up Ugly Stick XXH 9ft with Stradic 4000 and 10lbs Fire Line.
A Garfish desided that the 1oz Ice Cream looks like a good meal.
Gave me a fun fight and measured 91cm.
Will add photo later...
