Hey guys i was not enjoying the knob that comes with the Ultegra yesterdau during the WP comp so Anand Naicker and I during the comp were fooling around with ideas , so this morning i went to the sport shop and bought a squash ball for R20 , came back home and went to work , i started with heating a 8 mm bit at the bottom end with my blow torch then melted a hole at the one end , then i pierce a little hole at the opposite end for oiling and for the air to escape when i insert the existing knob through, it was tough work but a little WD-40 and some help from my boet we got it over , i taped it up with insulation tape for now until i discover something suitable , but hey it feels great , softish to the touch and it looks like the business !, i figured i could buy one for -what R200 odd but hey this works like a bomb for me!!

Hey now that looks like a lekker idea! I'm definitely going to give it a bash

i left some gaps so you can see the rubber from the ball!

i wanted to inject silicone to firm it up , but ie not necessary , apart from , it might get into the shaft , its really great as is with only the ball
