Hi gents after about 200 calls and negotiations i have an Ultegra Ci4 , the stocks in Cape Town are finished and everybody is waiting the new shipment , the reel came with 2 14000 spool , i was expecting a 10000 but i think the xsb version came with a 10000 spool , but now to spool some line and give that T -flex an opportunity to perform lol thanks to everyone for the help and support in aquiring this new set up , i will post picks if i catch anything ! The Ci4 range is awesome - no metal in the body hence no corrosion. Fondles the Stradic Ci4 yesterday and was very tempted!

No metal? :shk Is it Carbon fibre/Graphite?

Not just any carbon Ci4 carbon and I quote from Shimano:
CI4 stands for Carbon Interfusion with the 4 referring to the number of electrons in the Carbon atom. Ultimately, this means CI4 is reinforced Carbon Fiber.
It is over one and a half times stronger than our normal XT-7 graphite and is over 20% lighter. Because it does not contain metal, it is impervious to rust.
So, as a result of its strength and weight, we can create an extremely lightweight reel with very precise tolerances.

Thanks! Sounds impressive!

yep the ci4 technology is great , i was concerned when spooling the reel though, it sort of buckled as the handle was turned ,however this from what i understand should be no limiting factor as the correct way to fight a fish on grinder is to pull and take up the slack with the reel not wind the fish in on the reel , so i will do just that ! thanks again guys , i have oredered the tica sceptre 10000gx from mias she will arrive on monday i will open her up and give a detailed report of my finding s at 600 bucks well if it works it works , its full aluminium design so she is heavier than the ultegra , the reel is used alot for surf rooster fishing in Mexico and the states so she must have some crediblity , so lets wait for that report , sunday i willtake miss ultegra out for a swirl , and hopefullyget a pull at least , i will match the sceptre with a lighter rod , which also is on order from WA its a highlander waft musselcracker she should be perrfect for lighter edibles i.e kobbie in the 4 kg and up class and smoothounds and sandies , so excited , feel like blowing off all my flying for the next week and just go FEEEEEEEEESSSSSSHHHHHIIINGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!PICS TO FLW
