Disclaimer: I do not work for Halco although I sold Halco lures up to Feb 2011, I had the opportunity to test out every lure in their range and these are my findings.
This HALCO Sorcerer 90, is a great lure that can be used to target almost any predatory freshwater or saltwater game fish! This is personally my favourite lure of the HALCO range, because it can be used anywhere... Its not too big and its not too small, it is the perfect size for many different species of fish. Its 9 cm in length and comes in a variety of colours which all work very well. It also comes in a variety of sizes, however the 90 is by far the best all round in my opinion.
The Sorcerer is a favourite lure amongst Tiger fisherman. It also comes with 2 different lips, which can be changed and fitted depending on the depth you want to fish at.
Its a great lure for everyday use in all conditions, for spinning and trolling, it can be used for targeting freshwater and saltwater game fish such as Shad, Kob, Garrick, Springer, Rockcod, King Mackerel, Kingfish and many others. Freshwater fish like Tigerfish, Nembwe and Nile perch can also be caught. The Sorcerer swims between 3 and 4 meters below the surface depending on which lip you use. This lure comes with two no.2 Mustad 3xx treble hooks. The Red & White colour has proved to be very successful. Although I have become fond of the green and gold, jelly prawn and fire tiger colours.

Halco Sorcerer Lures all have bullet proof bibs (Also called lips) which are pretty tough (polycarbonate used in bullet proof glass)...
Gluing bibs is a quick fix... Over time glue solvents can weaken plastic till it snaps. These lures work and keep on working, with a bib that's locked in tight for a good fight. These bibs go to different depths than the standard lip on the lure.

They also work well off the boat for joob joobs.

On a trip last week to Selous my friend took this tiger on the white and redhead sorcerer! Awesome lure!

WK, have you tried casting these or only trolling? I would imagine to light to throw any good distance?
Glider nice fish there!! Were abouts was that? tanzania?

s_d they cast really well, and get good distance, very well balanced lure for casting... Caught fish trolling and casting this lure here are 2 pics I have on my pc...
The Kob demolish this colour lure, especially at night!

WK, what kind of retrieve did you use for cob, and what lip did you attach :-)

These lures are awesome. Fishing guide Henk Ferreira introduced me to Halco when he took me out after Nile Perch on Lake Vic, man they work!
I've got 2 Sorcerer 90's, the White/Red head, and Firetiger.

The whole Halco range are magic lures and the changeable bib concept is great. One quick question though, the pic and description for changing bibs look easy. In practice what is the easiest way to remove the 'lock' without getting a hand full of hooks?!

Let me first tell you what not to use...a big sharp hook lying around :-) #Fail
I find the best tool for the job is a very small flat screwdriver when at home, and when on the water my split ring pliers work a charm.
Funny if you think about it...but for all the halcos that attach by the lip, that little piece of plastic is all between you and the fish. eish

Changing the bibs is a lot harder than it seems from the pics!
Jaen I use the standard 2.5 meter bib on the 90 sorcerer and a slow to medium retrieve close along the bottom in shallower areas works like a charm for kob!

sheiks...I just changed 5 of them to 1m and 10cm.....
G, How do you keep those sharp little trebles from catching on to the bottom and losing your lure? Or do you fish mostly sandy areas?

I fish them mostly on sandy bottoms but when trolling them or fishing more rocky areas or 'harder bottoms' I still have not found away to stop the trebles catching, they do it quite a lot... Adding singles would probably help this problem!
