Durban - Port Edward
R61 - Mbizana
Drive thru the town when you get to a t-junction turn left.
will get to Flagstaff
Flagstaf - Lusiki
Lusiki - down to PJS

As you go over bridge before PJS you will turn left at t juction.
About +- 20km you will get a sighn that says Mpande.  Turn left
Go past the Codesa Funaral palour turn off on your left and go over a narrow bridge.
When you get to Post boxes on your right you turn left.
Go thru sports field and follow road down to parking next to small dam.
Dont get a fright this might take you about a hour.

Otherwise give me a call and I will explain over the phone.

Forgot to mention... some serious 4x4ing needed on Brazen roads, as well as a fit strong angler to make the 1.5km walk back up the hill! Not for the faint-hearted!!

Ja Reefman is right, the last part of the road you will need a BAKIE to deal with. No car will go down their.
And good luck comming back up.

Go to Brazen! Its not every day you get to be at one of the greatest spots along the transkei coastline and to be honest the walk is tough but not as bad as its made out to be. You certainly won't die on that walk and the experience is well worth it

i only fished brazen once. it is the most beautiful place on our coastline. never venture onto 2nd and 3rd ledge. is even even possable to land fish there?.

we are planning to spend 3 days there and wana ruff it up in that cave. im sure the night fishing will be good as water is crystal clear most days at brazen.

did you guys know that dean caught a dorado and cuta on live blacktail at brazen?....eish....deeeep water.

@thamen....i recently bought a map from kingfisher. its for the entire transkei coatline from port edward to p.e

paid 80 bucks for it. when i received it, though it was the biggest load of rubbish. when i was at the skei a few weeks back......if it wasnt for that map....i would have been a gonner. its really worth the buy.

not too sure the name. will check it up .its in my bakkie.

on a different note......this was discussed on sealine recently......watch were you drive in the transkei. you are not allowed to drive on unmapped roads, also your vehicle needs to be not not closer than 1km from the high water mark.

permits are available and its for free. parkies rock up and issue hectic fines....3grand sometimes.

all visiting the skei please know before hand were u will be driving and get the relevent permit before hand.

the permit will get faxed to you via their office so you dont need to go stand in lines etc...

i never had an issue with all the times i visited the skei....but u know murphy.

Reefz, those are Slingsbys maps, unfortunately about to post the last one we have to Fritz, but I can give you an info map on the Kei coast or would you like me to pm you the details for Slingsbys SA? They dont mind selling a few maps to the public and the price from them is R47 or something...

Gareth thanks for the map bud. If that is the last one then rather give that one to Tony and I will get one from Bassil. Then you dont have to send one down to me.

Take a gaff with you. We have managed to land big sharks with out using the gaffs, but you never know.

Depends what you mean by "fish". I wouldn't bother with a gaff for the eds but non eds definitely! Make sure you know what you are doing because one slip there and you are dead. You will need a super hero to dive into that water and pull you out and I don't think being carried up that hill on a stretcher will be pleasant

Ok maybe I'm being a bit dramatic. If you stick to first ledge its no worse than most other transkei spots 2nd ledge is where things get hairy.

Thamen you guys will be fine dont worry, Half Pint was talking about the second ledge at Brazen Head, the first ledge is safe and there are a lot of places there to scratch etc.

Hi Guys
I purchased my Wildcoast map online from www.slingsby.com (http://www.slingsby.com) a few months ago. The map is awesome as its not only waterproof but even has GPS co-ordinates of of all areas. One person even quoted the map as being like google earth on steroids.
