Title: Best Flies For Bass & Kurper?
Post by: WalkersKiller on March 22, 2011, 02:59:43 PM: Hi guys been wondering about what flies would be suitable when targeting bass and also what flies would work when targeting vlei and blue kurper? Anyone caught these species on fly before? Any help will be much appreciated...

For Vleikurper anything from nymphs to Half Chicken, Zonkers, Woolly Buggers, etc. will work, it just depends on what mood they are in and what time of the year. If the male is guarding the nest, any fly will work, cause they will hit that fly with aggression, just to get it out the way. The same applies for Blue Kurper. A fly that I like to use for blue Kurper is a Pin Fry, it works like a charm.
