Title: Vidal- Is it legal?
Post by: jaenswart on February 08, 2011, 08:45:10 AM
Guys, just busy packing and do not want to take stuff with that I am not gonna use.

Is it legal at Vidal these days to: 1. Use bucktail jigs?
                                                 2. Deepwater dropshot
                                                 3. Whip with spoon

All three are legal  provided they are used in context it is just outright Jigging equipment that is banned. but if you have a 14 inch "whipping spoon" with a JM rod and stella 18000 reel Mr. Parks board will have a few questions for you

cool, gonna take my old faithful scarborough for whipping and a normal flix stick and grinder for bucktail jigging and dropshotting?

This one will be contentious. I see it as Cam Mundy but believe it will be more complicated with the Parks Board involved.

I think BRYANT can help out with this one. He frequently visits the area.

it is only considered jiging if your spoon/jig is more than 100grams i think. At vidal the parks board is more worried who is going to get your tuna heads/karcass than how you caught them.

Park Board has given me all sorts of sh@t in the past so I'm taking NO chances.
