With many guys hitting the coast during the hols, might be a good time to meet like-minded people on the beach. Tell us where you will be and maybe there is another member you can hook up with?
I will be in Sordies 25th - 30th - Family payback time, so it's mainly diving, but will take my kit down just in case! :hnthnt:

Koro-Koro -- Campsite on the other side of Warmbaths/Bela-Bela from the 24th until the 2nd ... for some quality time with the wife and kids and more importantly NO, and I mean NO extended family !!! ... <:
I've had just about enough of extended family for 1 year thank you very much.

Afraid I'm one of those that work right through, but hoping for some time off in July
But if any of you guys are around Jacobsbay or Citrusdal send a pm and we can hook up on the weekends for some crayfishing, cobbies and geelbek.

Just a word of warning ... On the 1st of Jan every year Port Edward normally gets between 20000 and 30000 on their small "Silver Beach". If you can, get out of town before then. The 26th of December is normally almost as bad. The town almost comes to a complete standstill that day ...
As much as I love that place I was there Dec 2008 and swore that I would never go back over Christmas or New Year ... Good luck in any case and enjoy.
-
We will be in Umhlanga fishing out of DSBC from the 16th.

Thanks, but i think it is not only port edward that has the issue on 25,26 and 1st Jan... it is the yearly migration to the sand and sea for thousands. had the same two years agon on the north coast, eventually drove 25km through the sugar cane and found a secluded beach where nobody was....

-
.
-
More please... looks stunning!
Exactly where is it?
-
the area looks very nice....water looks nice for fishing as well... where is this place?
-
Techobanine is situated 20 Km north of Ponta Do Ouro and about 4 Km north of Ponta Mamoli.
Google earth it as Mamoli private camp.
The day we went to visit the weather was very bad but it would still be very easy to launch.
There is a masive reef structure just offshore and at low tide the waves break over the reef
You can see the reef on google earth
-
So Techo is the same as Ponta Mamoli?
-
Different places Reefz...
At Ponta Mamoli there is a luxury resort.... Ponta Techobanine is about 5 km north of Ponta Mamoli... still being developed...
-
Ah ok... thanks JohnF!
