Hi all,
Going to explore Port St John’s for the first time, and it goes without saying that excitement is building.
It’s been great reading up on the rock and surf, and river fishing. Any advice on going to sea through the mouth, and what the offshore fishing is like? Ideally, we’d like to try a bit of everything.

Howzit.
Hope you have a fantastic time. PsJ is beautiful.
River fishing great
Rock and surf fishing great. As for the launch out of the river. Be sure to check the channel it changes often especially with the rains we've had.
Can be a tricky one. Chat to the local dive charter based on the river im sure they will beable to inform you on the best way out the mouth.
Have a great time

Thank you for the response.
Yes, I’ll ask for local knowledge on getting out the mouth and always err on the side of caution if it looks sketchy.
