Title: Underberg Fly Fishing

Good Evening


I am planning a trip up to Underberg this weekend, and planning on staying at Gooderson Drakensberg Gardens. I have read that there is a dam there that allows fly fishing, so looking for any advice regarding how the fishing is, what flies and techniques may work?


Additionally, is fishing allowed in the river that runs past the resort?


I am relatively new to the fly fishing (and the forum), so would definitely appreciate any advice!

Hi Sal.
I cannot help with information regarding the dam but the river is closed for fishing during winter and will only be opening again on 1 September.
