Title: Floatation for edibles - when to use

Hi.


I would like to catch edibles such as galjoen, blackmail, steenbras, belman, bronze bream and mosselkraker etc. Can anybody provide me with some guidance on which species I should be using floatation for and which not? Or is it a case of using floatation in specific circumstances rather than for specific species?


Any help would be appreciated.

Generally though, if you're fishing foul areas filled with rocks, obviously flotation would be preferable to prevent getting snagged up.


Personally, I almost always use some form of flotation, just to keep the bait off the seabed and away from the sinker dragging on the floor.

i wouldnt use it for steenbras or cracker.... all the rest bait yes float size depends on bait size.
