Hi Guys
i saw a video the other day ( taken in PSJ ), regarding a new regulation where we cant use artificial lures etc
basically the official was videoed stating that you cannot use anything where you have to jerk the rod ( to him its regarding as jigging )
so no paddle tails no bucktails, no drop shot etc, can anyone clear this up

At least he is going in the right direction to stop the slaughter there!

Read this months Mission flyfishing mag and you will understand why he is right even if slightly wrong in the application. It is all to do with the illegal slaughter via jigging of mature, migrating leeries.

Saw it on fb too .
Good we , have policing , but look at the type of un informed policing , it’s very dodgy .
We have had , inspectors , locally , argua over mullet , they , was convinced it was Kob and elf ...
I remember an article , which at the time was ground breaking about the migration of leervis , it was incredible , to learn they come from Angola all the way around to natal each year ...
Can’t remember the specifics , but the fact they move fast distances each year .
