Probably one of the best spots on the lower south coast. You can fish for big ineds or leeries from the big rock with livies or dead slides, or you can fish for shad from cowards rock just left of Splash very early in the mornings or late afternoon depending on the tide.
Obviously fishing also depends on water colour and temp. and then the big kicker, SARDINES, if they are around fishing can be crazy and will always be an experience even if you just see pockets with gannets diving.
One of my best experiences as a child was the sardine run in Port Edward.
Hope you catch something.
Enjoy.

Thanks, much appreciated.

Also chat to the locals, they are actually friendly and willing to help.

any idea whats the best time to fish for garrick.
-
Winter time, I’ve had the best results in July & August

Garrick start being very active from beginning of May, swimming live shad with nylon trace is probably your best bet.

Thanks looking forward, cant wait

I'm running the "Port Edwards Saltwater angling" facebook page. Fishing is very good at the moment. Already one or 2 Garrick's lost with hook pulls. A huge 25kg GT was caught 2 days back. Loads of Shad from Splash and Lucky dip. If you after the In-eds a very nice raggie came out a week ago, some greys around. The sards are around the corner so its going to get better!
Enjoy!
