You want to upgrade???
-
Nope (very happy with my Yeld 19!))). Have a friend who keeps bugging me about it...
-
I heard that the the first 22 is a center console and wil be finish in month or so.
-
Hi Marcos, you heard correct! They have a 22ft in production and it should be complete in the next month or so. They starting with a center console and then the forward console. They have basically corrected the couple negatives from the 21ft Boat, being the Gunnel Width and Height, with the change in this, the Deck should have a little bit more room and gunnels about 200mm Higher. Gonna be a nice boat and also totally legal on the road!

Any further update on the new Yeldcat 22......
-
Do you guys reckon this new 22' FC would run okay with the new generation 1.8L Yamaha F100's?
-
Just got back from a visit to the Yeld's.
The 22's top deck is on and finishing has started...if all goes to plan she will be ready for her maiden voyage by the 1st week in Oct. Only CC's available for the foreseeable future with the FC still a year or two away.
The hull design looks amazing and she has loads of deckspace!...I think she will ride like a dream.
She is a bit heavier than the 21's due to the extra length, hight and deeper sponsons so I think the 100's will be a bit on the light side for her...
-
Hi Werner, it certainly does look nice. Concerning the weight, Shaun said to me she is probably going to be the same or slightly lighter than the 21ft due to no wood being used. I however believe that the first one does have wood so this should add quite a bit of weight. Certainly a nice looking boat!
-
yes Charles... you are correct...we just picked it up at the transom on Friday to put some protection under the keelstrips and we were 4 okes ...she was heavy!
I heard you might become my neighbour :hnthnt:
-
Saw a brand new 22?? being launched for the first time on Sunday afternoon at the club, nice boat and a machine of a trailer!! :rck"

Why?

I received a message from Craig Yeld to say that "the 100's would be fine on the 22". He also said that he has orders for 8 x CC's so the FC top deck plug would hopefully be ready early next year. Given the changes, I reckon the weights of the 21 & 22 are going to be very close.
-
QuQ, I think the 100's would be fine for protected launches and when the Surf isnt too wild, there are a lot of 21's running old 100's which i believe arent as lively as the new ones.
Werner, I think we been neighbours for a while or are you just starting to leave your boat there, mine has been there for a while but i just collect it when I am home and want to fish! I have seen warbird there a few times already...

This could not have been a yeld, craig yeld’s son was in my skipper training class today and told me that they are still going to be a little while with finishing up of the first 22 ft as there is plenty of custom work requested by the owner!
-
Was a Yeld, but possibly not the 22 hence the ?? :hnthnt:

I think that I am going to wait to see how much heavier, if at all, the 22 is over the 21.
Had a boat once before that was marginal on power (Seacat 565 with F70's) and not keen to go down that road again.

Status update on the new 22ft YELD......
Anybody have the inside scoop?
-
The first one is finished and its been about a month. I have seen it and it really is nice! The 2nd one is almost done. The feedback is extremely positive and apparently the boat is a beauty on the water!
-
Received these pics about a month ago ...
-
Looking lovely!!
-
Has anyone been on the new 22? Looking for feedback please.
-
There is only 2 on the water and from what i have heard, not just from owners, its really very very impressive, the ride is outstanding! I have been on the boat in the workshop and the finishes are incredible and the mould seems of the highest quality. Price is also really surprising good as well, you looking at below 850K full house with 140 Suzuki’s excluding Electronics!

I was at Vidal species comp in November and Nomakanjani was there, they ran up to Leven point in some pretty crappy conditions and the difference was noticeable to his old 21 CC(this not just from the owners mouth) Will be fishing the marlin comp at Vidal in a weeks time and she will be there again, will keep you informed.
And a report on the weeks fishing!
-
Thanks for the feedback chaps! Kev, please do post your impressions after the weekend, and good luck!

Kev come in! Please tell us about the 22 ….

Skipper and crew were happy with how it handled in unfavourable conditions. Unfortunately only had 2 days of marlin fishing so they couldn't really test the "comfort factor" as a solid week of marlin fishing is tough on the body . The finishes on that boat are really amazing , which is standard issue for a yeld.

Very nice the new 22ft CC
Any estimate price on one like this?
Waiting time?
Any used one for sale?
