Post by: stephanhavenga on March 18, 2017, 02:14:23 PM
 Hi guys

I in this area the comming holiday and would like to try amd catch some natal snoek if possible. I am not sure where to start looking for spots, closer to zinkwazi will be better. Or if someone is going i would love to join.

More important to target the right conditions. Snoek come closer when the backline is closer due to low swell height and an early morning westerly breeze. Always look at the background when guys post snoek photos, you will see calm seas and a deepwater point or steep beach slope. Conditions more important than the actual spot. Snoek move very fast with pockets of baitfish.

When based in Zinkwazi a good bet will be Seola point a few km's north. Legendary low tide spot. Otherwise drive south to the Tinley Manor/Sheffield Beach/Ballito area for both high and low water spots. Key is to start casting before sunrise already!
