Looks like a lot of work went into making that presentation. Well done. Complex and tricky to get it spot on I would imagine. With my diy skills, I can't ever see myself drilling a hole in a Saltist or a Trinidad  though.  :dunno:
Much more comfortable doing the stat mag... can't stuff a perfectly good reel up that way.

Thanks for your trouble.Most bass reels are stock standard with variable magnetic cast control.
Cannot see why our surf multipliers shouldnt recieve the same attention.
Recently at the wild coast i was reading an old Len Jones moth eaten booklet,daiwa produced  the 250 H sealine magforce reel back then.
Prehaps the grinder and braid revolution has sidelined multiplier development somewhat.Okuma has magged a entry level surf multiplier but not the cedros range.So still no decent reels with magnets available.
Unbelieveable with all the companies squabbling for market share and domination.
I would love to purchase a  sideplate for a grandwave 40/50 or sealine 50 (one plate fits all)that has a variable magnetic cast control knob all done.Screw it on with no fiddling in the garage.
So Conclusion can you sell me one for testing please.

That's a great idea  to have sideplates ready made up with the magnetic cast controls fitted to them.  :resp:
Someone needs to get onto that one and supply the  tackle shops in South Africa ASAP.

Anglers must be able to buy them and fit them .  Hassle free and ready to fish. 
OLD one off new one on and ready to cast/fish.

I will be in contact about your 40/50 conversion.
