Ive just got back from 5 days in the southern berg at Crystal waters. Fishing was great even though we had huge rains. This fly accounted for 13 fish of 2lbs on an overcast morning but I have no idea what is is called. Anyone recognise it?

looks like it meant to imitate a leach i would say... no idea what its called tho.

Checking the pic from my phone so its tricky to see the underbody, which looks like some type of "ice" dubbbing? I'd hesitate a guess that its a Zonker Minnow variation, with a dubbed body as opposed to mylar tubing. Clever idea...

I agree with Rory, definitely a variant of a Zonker Minnow :corrct: Awesome fly with a great action

Tell you that this fly worked magic. I fished a zonker and only had half the takes that my mate had on this. The head looks similar to the egg sucking leach.
