Title: Need some help?
Post by: ignoblis on September 02, 2010, 12:33:14 PM
Hey Guys

I just managed to get my hands on a Shimano Trevalla MH jigging stick. I already own a Daiwa Exceller  Oceano 4500j and I have access to a fishing ski.

Now my question is, are there any places where I can do some light jigging off a ski around Durban.

Not sure of the spots but can't wait to see the pictures. Enjoy the rod and tight lines. You will be amazed at how hard you can pull on these reed thin jigging rods:)

BTW my mate is superstoked with the Excellor XXH!

Mike (F.A.) does some jigging around Durban but my personal experience is it will be hard work with little reward. Durban is so fished out that to get any decent rewards you need to travel a bit which isn't possible on a paddle ski. What I would recommend is very light tackle with ultra light jigs. I'll send you some good starting points! Do you have a GPS?
