I have been approached by a number of anglers to start a global forum, platform or organisation for artificial lure anglers who truly appreciate and promote the skills associated with catching predatory fish in a responsible fashion from the shore. There have been many fantastic catches made and amazing experiences that can be shared with others on this forum. Suggestions would be welcomed on how best to structure this forum with respect to sub-categories, etc.

As for suggestions for structure, here is my 2c:
- General discussion & Fishing Reports (...Chit chat and reports...)
- Tackle & Tools (...Rods, Reels, Lines, tools, terminal tackle... )
- Lure discussions (...Whats hot, whats new, what works for you, reviews, modifications and tweaks....)
- Tips and Techniques (...Casting techniques, retrieves, selecting spots...)
- Hooking UP! (...Meet up with like-minded anglers from your area...)

Hi Guys,
What an enjoyable aspect of fishing this has become! Many years ago when i took up flyfishing, i joined a group of guys who used to meet monthly for a chat and to swap ideas and
I actually spent a lot of time fishing with guys i may never have met if it were not for those gatherings. Is it not time to investigate a similar gathering of like-minded people interested in shore based game fishing?
Barry would there be an opportunity to involve Basil Manning in here somewhere? Maybe as the meeting venue? Is there an opportunity to form a 'club' of sorts where we are charged an affiliation fee for the year? Visitors who are not members would be charged an entry fee for the night?
What would you get for your money? Am thinking maybe along the lines of 2 beers or 2 soft drinks and the opportunity to listen and learn from the best in the business? Maybe 30 mins of each meeting can be dedicated to a presentation of some type and the rest of the time is just an opportunity to chat?
Any ideas are welcome............

I really like the idea! It was only after the last clinic at Basil Manning that I realised that there were a number of UA guys that attended. Maybe something like one of the many fly tying group gatherings where they socialise and share new ideas etc. and have group outings from time to time. I will definitely support something like this
