Hey there guys
I really hope im not going to sound like a fool now but have a question regarding a spinning rod. I do quite a bit of Speciman Carp angling and fish with the new Elbe 10 foot....now this rod throws a weight a mile with my Okuma baitrunner with Braid, having said that, could i put my Shimano Slade 4000 on it and fish it in the sea? Im going down to Balito in 2 and a half weeks and want to do some early morning spinning. Would this rod be okay, it has pulled some really big Carp and Barbel, but i know its different in the ocean!
Please help!

That Elbe 10 foot would be perfect Nick. I have the same rod, use it for both carp fishing and spinning in the ocean. By the way that thing throws a 2 ounce chisel nose plug a mile! And the Slade would be the perfect combo for it!

Thanks a mil Walkerkiller much appreciated, will definatly get my hands on a chisel nose plug or two?
By the way, do you perhaps have any info or tips about spinning in the balito/shakas rock area...im an avid Shark fisherman and very new to Spinning, must be a great way of keeping one busy while waiting for the big pull on the big rods!!!
