Thanks Tuna....

I have this funny feeling about this one too.... I'm gonna give it my best shot... going to work the 250-400 m area really hard!
That's the spirit. Will be holding thumbs all the way.

Hi John
I hope this can help you to find a billy. Herewith two areas we caught last year marlin when we visited Inhaca. I t is a long way to travel from Maputo to it but try your best to work that drop off areas as it form canyons. We trolled zigzag from 100-350 meters these two areas and got some billys.

JOHNF it is Garmin Bluecharts. Is there anything you want me to look for? If you give me approximate areas and depth I can plot any feature for you.

A few good cuta and tuna (~15  kg) were caught during the weekend and also "Oliver" released a couple of sailfish... good prospects for the Maritimo comp in 10 days?

Thanks Tuna.... this will be a species comp with about 13 species plus bills counting... so it will have to be a bit tactic but will certainly spend a lot of time chasing them!

Appreciate your support!

OMT on UA will be in Santa Maria then. He will be fishing the reef system on his side. Maybe contact him so you can have some in on the goings down at Santa Maria reef and South of it?

Lot of preparation has been put into the comp coming up this weekend... it's the 3rd Leg of Clube Maritimo's Interauto/Ford championship... being a species comp, it's gonna be very tactical... couta, tuna, wahoo, dorado and bills are still around...

Due to the northerly expected on Saturday, the comp might get moved to Sunday... let's see...
