Moolies

Best way is to just go File >Save as > type in a name for the file and then save it to your hard drive. Copy it to a flash disk and put it on your home computer.
Then you can study it offline. You don't need to be connected to the Internet - but then obviously the video's won't work, as they are all on Youtube. But you can download the video's separately.
For Internet Explorer, download "Keepvid" - a programme that allows you to save youtube video's to your hard drive.
For Mozilla Firefox, downlaod Flash Video Downloader, which does the same thing - just much easier.

I like that hammer visualisation.......makes sense! Its going to be a 4 month lay-off without casting a line....I'm gonna have to re-learn a lot of the action for the heavy rods!

Was the best thing I ever learnt with my casting... I walk round the house with my imaginary hammer punching nails into the air!! Everyone thinks I'm

@reefman
This has been the best advice, and best illustrated guide that I have come across :udman: :+ cred:

I finally broke through the 100m barrier with this yesterday with a big weight :happ:
I just have one question though, How do you prevent the line from cutting (burning) into your wrist?
I got a nasty burn when the line sped off the reel and cut into my right wrist
I eventually resorted to tying a packet around my right forearm , but that will just be impractical at the coast - Don't want the packet tearing off, and ending up in the ocean.
Any advice would be appreciated...
Thanks
Pochee

Ya, when I'm practicing casting, I always wear a 4inch long wristband (sweatband) on my right wrist. Most seasoned anglers have some serious scar tissue on their right wrist!!

Just a quick question guys, does your drag have an influence on the cast or not at all if so where should it be set at?

Trevelly , no has no influence on a multiplier reel , although i would"nt leave it loose , i normally set my drag up to a medium setting anyway and only adjust it while fishing or on with a fish , on the multiplier when u set the clutch lever over for casting this disengages the spool from the drive gears (freespool ) to allow for casting , the cast control tensioner determines how much freespool on spool and then the brake control comes into play when casting and controlling spool speed , and of course the thumb .

Thanks Mike,  just one more question how tight or lose you set your cast control tensioner will determine the distance you going to get... still getting a lot of overwindes so I think I need to tighten it up and start over...

Depending on the reel but as a general rule of thumb with a sinker and bait hanging off the end and the clutch disengaged the cast control should be loosened enuff just to allow the sinker and bait to drop slowly to the ground , with more practise u can loosen it up more but then the thumb will have to work more during control of the spool /line in cast , obviously the heavier the sinker/bait the quicker the line peels off the spool in free spool , so its very fine and small adjustments to get the ratio correct to avoid excessive spool speed and overwinds , smooth controlled casts, no jerking it thru and a well set up cast control with thumb control and lots of practise will only improve your casting and give u confidence to really give it stick  and get better distances .

Hi Trevelly, the easiest way of setting it is to lift the tip of the rod, reel in excess line(till swivel is close to tip eye)then place your thumb on the spool and click over the cast lever, then release your thumb and let the bait & sinker drop to the ground,if the spool still spins after the sinker hit the ground then it's a bit too loose, tighten the cast control knob and repeat the steps...this should help with overwinds...I set mine so that when I click over the cast lever, the line peels off slowly and speeds up....hope this makes sense... w;k
Always be humble...
