Saturday- I had a back line trip with the west blowing we had anchored down. fishing was alright till the guys started getting a bit Sick. had quite a few undersized shad and loads of Pinkies.. after a few hours we had no choice but to head for the harbour as a gust of wind blew the boat right off the anchor.. snapping the anchor rope

. in the harbour we managed a few small again undersized Grunter but nothing special.
Sunday brought with it better weather and with 2 trips planned for the day we headed out for a bottom fishing season. this produced a load of small snapper and Slinger but they where far from decent size so they where all released to be caught again. The Second session we started with a troll saidly though nothing was working so we made our way to the bottom ground to try for something diffrent, after much hunting we found a nice productive reef which gave us rock cod and some size Snappers.
Monday - As we exited the harbour I headed south to find the water was dirty and green, green and more green. water temp was up around the 26deg mark, I then changed the game plan and made for Umhlanga where i found some bluish water but saidly the fishing was lousy!! only managed a couple of pan size snappers! current was screaming south and we where drifting as about 6-7kph so it was tough to try stay on the reefs in the deeper waters!
All in all not a great weekend fishing, but still better than sitting at home.
