Hi Prego
I know they have caught two marlin, wahoo, dorado, skipjacks, yellowfin tuna and cuta the numbers I do not know. Must say it is the largest schools of bonnies I've ever seen working the water. Sometime you get them feeding and the water was foaming like four rugby fields big.
There is certainly fish, cuta was small and scarce.

Thanks BV you made my year. Added to this the way you skipped for 5 straight days raising an incredible amount of fish. You know how to find them and have proven it yet again. Shag fed the black like a champion getting the circle right in the corner from there on in it was history. Great week with great friends. Was good getting to know Bruce and his dad Bill (aka Wild Bill). Great people and really enjoyed it. Learned a span and I do believe that we have a good recipe now that will produce anywhere. Franco picked up some war scars handling the black who just would not let down. Proof once again that it takes a crew to get the bills and the guy with the rod is just a small part in the machine.

On the last day just before lines up BV got into a Blue that took 600m on the first run. Hooks pulled 20m from the boat. What a display the fish put up. I have learned a lot from the Van's and Shag ..... thank you for sharing it with me and for your friendship.

Prego it was a species comp but for us it was getting the marlin and then multiplying it. Marlin tagged = 200 points.

We got Wahoo, Skipjacks, Dorado and Sailies as bycatch.

Wow, great feedback from the guys! Well done to Sarel from Backline on a well deserved victory, applying local knowledge and skill to seal the deal  :cgrts:

Team Liberty - great effort my mates! 15 fish raised is a sure sign that you were using the right formula and the lures were looking good. Bad luck with the TF (tackle failure swr ) but you have learnt now that just because it comes out of an expensive package it doesn't mean it's rigged right!!!!!!

@ Reinhard - well done mate on your first billie, hope you enjoyed it and the memories are with you forever. Did you have a swim??  w;k

There's always next year guys, you can start planning your revenge now!

The more important question ... are they on UA ??? ...  :dunno: ... We should look at getting them onto team UA for next year's comp to strengthen the numbers ...  w;k

On Thursday the board still stated biggest Couta 18kg. Probably a Friday fish then.
