Sitting in a meeting with the big boys from LAM right now. They say repairs have already started , as Dugongboy said its the only N-S link and they have to sort it asap.
 
I was already thinking about that option Paulo , but that could be pretty hectic.WIll rather postpone if that was the only way up there.

Nope, they still working on it... water levels on the Incomati are receding so they think they can open traffic tomorrow... if no further discharges come from SA

Spoke to Greg Hollwell (?) who has a lodge at chidenguele - he says the road is open again, but will be closed tonight as they forgot to put pipes under the repairs    but it will be open again tomorrow.

Road was opened yesterday, but only temp, also a possibility of another cut up near Manica, a lot depends on the rain over the next few days.

Suggest anyone going fishing put the brakes on. I have heard through the rumour mil that people in XaiXai have been cut off because the bridge over the Limpopo is damaged and has a 60 ft gap in it. (Not confirmed though). Herewith photo of the high sea at Ngamula Lodge just north of Guinjata.
