CENTAURI or Fig 8 in Terminal tackle

Tony,

have a quick question wrt this knot ...

I see you make 3 loops when doing this knot and in the B2B fig 8 knot for joining mainline to leader you only make 2 loops with the leader line. What is the difference when making 2 or 3 loops? Does 3 loops strengthen the knot or would 2 loops be sufficient for terminal tackle as well?

In thicker leader line, it becomes quite tricky to put 3 loops in. In hard/stiff line like Maxima, it doesn't work very well. But with softer lines like Sufix Zippy, it's fine. I reckon 3 loops must be stronger (?), so if the line is workable, do 3 loops. I know that some of the WCape league anglers only use 2 loops - so whatever works for you.
