I suppose you could, but its not advisable. I think you will do a load of ploughing. But if you have a 4 x 4 with you to drag you out then you should be fine.

Guys i am not sure if there will be other cars on the road with me from border to Ponta. The reason i am asking is i can take a 4 x 4 but travelling alone and dont want the extra fuel costs by going in the 4 x 4.
ANY IDEAS ??

Yeah I would really advise a 4x4 if you are going towards Ponta... Lots of soft sand and steep hills...

You can do it if a Bantam is rear wheel drive and letting down tires (unless you run bling bling mags).

The alternative, and probably best idea, is to leave the Bantam at the border. There is secure parking there, and a number of ppl offer transfers from the border to Ponta.

Engelsman, skip Ponta and rather join us at Cape Vidal for the bash from the 15th till the 22nd. Best of all is you can get there with a Bantam ...  :-)

Hi Engelsman
Search site there ar a lot of cords on there under a ponta site  from earlier this year. Get live bait and a few drifts over doodles. Shouuld pick up some cuda. There is the other route to Ponta round the airstrip, road is better. Rather go in 4x4.
