This is more prone with old floaties or floaties that has been exposed to lots of sunlight. Add 4-5 drops of water to the floatie container or better still steam them for a few seconds (boil kettle and with a cloth over spout and container).

I have noticed though that some floats that you purchase are hard to begin with. I don't buy any such floats anymore. I really love using the bleeding floats and my tackle box is filled with only those kinds

Yes the first floats that came out,I think it was 20 years ago were hard and was made by Steveson. It hit the market with a big bang and it was really a big success. Anglers started to catch more and bigger Fish.
Do you guys still remember these..
