floated double hook trace experiment
« on: June 30, 2011, 10:05:38 AM »
Hi Guys
now that the sardine run is upon us, i was messing around with some traces and came up with this.
2x10 o eagle claw with snell knots, botom hook floatation added (not very neat i know). 120lbs carb coated steel trace apprx 80cm. with shad bung float at top.
id like to try it tomorrow or saturday and get a reaction.
please comment ;)

thanks

What do you plan on using it for? That bit of red foam is not going to add much flotation and will just ruin the presentation of the bait. Rather dont attach it to the hook then cut open you shad head or what ever you want to throw slide the foam inside and cotton it closed. Just my 2c

Looking forward to the results Deezy! IMO when it comes to fishing any method, trace... Actually anything will work! It is just because certain methods have been tried and tested more. If I had to post some of the methods I have tried out, some of the traces and baits I have used I think my cred will drop by 25  :hehe: :hehe: I use whatever I can when I can  :clwn

so i had a chance finally to try it out, (removed foam) added it inside bait.
unfortunately no bites.

scrapped the idea now.

thanks again for all the comments
