SAfish I think it is possible to connect with the door bell but may be a bit technical and with our power failures and load shedding..... :dunno:

I have "beams" around the house which will trigger the alarm system when someone enters the premises. The draw back is that our dog (Border Collie) needs to sleep inside the house but that is also an added advantage as she is very alert. We can move freely inside the house and on the stoep even while the alarm is armed.
Charles, we also have a Border Collie and she also sleeps in the house. I am still not convinced that the guy was inside the yard, maybe he was looking over the fence which is about 7 meters from the bathroom window. Roxy did not react funny when I took her outside and she would have smelled him if he was inside.

The very best alarm in the world is a dog that sleeps inside.

I had a report from a reliable source that a guy has caught a good sized Leerie today. The weekend's weather looks good combined with the spring high so I think I must do some Leerie hunting stress relieve this weekend.  :hnthnt:  :fshn: :grk:

My boss went wake-boarding yesterday and the water was only 13 degrees at the heads.  At the white bridge it was 22! This will mean that the fish will travel up and down with the tide and you will have to work hard to get them.

More success has come from the Belvidere area and higher.
You can see the mist coming through the heads every day meaning it is ice cold water entering the estuary.
Up river is a way better bet, with a few nice Garrick still coming out.
Not tonight baby, I gotta fly!!!

Thanks Brian, I am going to try the upper river this weekend and hope the Leeries are still around after the rain.

A mate of mine pulled out 4 x very nice Leerie this past weekend.  Sent me pics to prove it.  All higher up.

Thanks for the information QuQ.

Something that was discussed in our club's monthly news letter is the lack of Mullet in the 200mm range. You either get small ones or +300mm ones. It seems like there is a generation gap.  :hehe: Has any of you experienced this?  :dunno:

100% correct. Seen this too. Either big or very small. Might be nothing, but I have noticed the same thing.

Winter has arrived in Knysna and it is wet and cold. Our maximum temperature today hovered around 15 degrees and I just measured 12 degrees outside. We also had 18mm of rain since yesterday. The weekend's weather looks a bit better but summer is a thing of the past.  :-(

We had that weather yesterday. Wait another month, take that Kayak and drift a prawn over the Ashmead and I promise that you'll get towed home by a White Steenbras (provided there are any left). Remember that bank I showed you? Drift over that  a few times and see... :fshn:

Outgoing tide, that way you'll get home. Incoming and you'll end up somewhere near town!
